Muffins vs. cupcakes

Muffins and cupcakes can be both made in the papercups, but they yet they are two different kinds of food.  Muffins are made, mostly by adding wet ingredients to dry whilst cupcakes are made by creaming butter and sugar together and then adding flour etc, to it.

 Muffins can be heavier while cupcakes are more like a sponge and lighter in texture,  with a frosting of different kinds.  So many kinds.   Muffins seem to be eaten mostly in the mornings with coffee or atbreakfast or mid-morning break, whereas cupcakes are more for the afternoon with tea or a children’s birthday party, or anybody’s birthday party.
